YEAHH! WE BOMBED! We certainly rocked the best stage at this year´s 2008 Melt! festival. Never mind the mud, never mind the rain - we blasted it for more than 10 hours nonstop. Even Franz Ferdinand came down to bounce.
See the first selection of shots, we´re still collecting further footage.

The night´s only downturn: Count+Sinden cancelled their show. Sinden caught an ear infection and as he is the guy repping Count+Sinden Live on international stages, he had to cancel the show short termed. A real pity, but it allowed the others to prolong their bombing.
Here´s the chronology - further shots will be added soon.
THE PICKUP IN BERLIN Daniel Haaksman ready to leave MC GRINGO TUNING HIS GUITAR
RAIN POURS Our floor opened at 7pm. Within 15 mins, DJ Beware got the floor from 0 people to ca. 1250 and instantly, hands were up in the air. Unfortunately, at the end of DJ Beware´s set, rain poured. Manic dancing prevailed.
MC GRINGO ACOUSTIC Despite a merciless 15 min thunderstorm with hardcore rain, die hard fans of MC Gringo remained on the floor.
IN THE SCHLAMM PIT The heavy rain turned the dancefloor into a mud pit. But shortly later, people didnt cared too much.
DANIEL HAAKSMAN PUSHING THE VIBE Daniel kicked off with half an hour straight baile funk and backed Deize for her show. Impromptu-hands-up-in-the-air ensued.
DEIZE TIGRONA ROCKING IT For the very first time, Deize Tigrona performed her anthemic "Sex-O-Matic", live with Edu K
EDU K BLAST OFF Edu K got the crowd into a craze with his muscle ballet performance with which he supported his block rocking party set to enthusiastic response.
IN THE MEANTIME: BACKSTAGE Some photos from behind the scenes
VISUALS BY SAFY SNIPER Our favourite VJ, SAFY SNIPER, produced the most outstanding projections. Wiggleing booty dancers? Michael Jackson lip synching to an Edu K mashup? You name it, Safy had it all in stock....

DEIZE TIGRONA + DJ GORKY

BONDE DO ROLE Bonde Do Role tore the roof off and the crowd went bananas
BONDE DO ROLE + DEIZE TIGRONA BDR invited Deize on stage
CROOKERS BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! Our favourite ragazzi smashed it. Cazzzoooo!!
MORNING DAWN When Crookers dropped their last tune the floor was still rammed. And then there was still mud:
BACK IN THE BUS Crookers, DJ Beware and Daniel back in the bus with some friends
BIG THANKS to everyone involved in making this night so wonderful: Stefan Lehmkuhl @ Melt!, Julia Gudzent @ Melt!, Safy Sniper for the great visual projections, Alexandra SickGirl for taking care of us, Giorgio Ronna for the patience, Tobi Seen for the free T-Shirts, Angelika Götz for the Apfelkuchen, and of course: All artists. Thanks for the photos: DJ Beware, Katrin Näher, Edu K. See you next year again! VALEU!
Wasted German Youth: "Drei Tage Wach" ("Three days up") by Lützenkirchen is of Germany´s most hyped summer 2008 tunes. With it´s main lines "Pille Palle, Alle Pralle" ("Pills, Going Nuts, Everyone´s hammered"), "Druff druff druff" ("on it, on it, on it") it captures the madness of speed/cocaine/whatever-induced marathon raving, which has become associated with Berlin nightlife in recent years. At the start of the techno mania a somewhat subversive act, pill popping and coke snoring nowadays hast just become another mainstream leisure time activity.
Berlin DJ Tim Turbo mashed up the stupendous German summer anthem with some baile funk beats - making it the most unlike musical pairing.
